Tubs of Tasmania
The Australian Antarctic Festival is the only event of its kind in Australia. Held biennially across Hobart's waterfront, it celebrates the city's role as one of the world's leading Antarctic gateway cities and recognises the significant contribution the Antarctic sector makes to Tasmania's economy and community.
Produced by the Mawson's Huts Foundation, the Festival brings together Antarctic organisations, scientists, technicians, educators, government agencies, businesses and the wider public through exhibitions, talks, education programs, family activities and special events. It provides a unique platform for the community to engage with Australia's Antarctic history, science, industry and future.
